Our observance of Jesus' last week on Earth begins on Palm Sunday with a worship service that begins by Celebrating the hope of Jesus being the heir to David's throne and ends with the telling of the Gospel according to Luke's account of the final days of Jesus' life—being sentenced to death by Pilate, crucified, dead, and buried.
We will then gather again on April 17- Maundy (Commandment) Thursday, when we remember Jesus' last meal, the first Eucharist, by washing one another's feet and cleaning the altar in preparation for the dark day to come.
On Good Friday April 18 (what's so good about it), we gather at noon and 7 pm to remember Jesus' last hours and last words and to venerate (place our prayers and ourselves) at the foot of the cross.
At Sunset on Saturday, April 19, the Eve of Easter, we gather to tell the story of the light of the world, culminating in the hope of Jesus' resurrection and the first celebration of the season of Easter.
On Sunday morning, April 20, the Ministry of Salem will gather at the Friends Burial Ground for a simple sunrise service. Then, at 10 a.m., our doors will open for music before worship begins at 10:30 a.m. This service will be brilliant and bright with brass and all the joy of being reunited with Jesus Christ, the king of heaven, not just the heir of David's throne.

Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes. If you are baptized, you are welcome to receive communion in The Episcopal Church.
We use wafers and wine as the elements. We offer gluten-free wafers if you need them. You do not need to drink wine if you cannot consume alcohol for any reason. You can receive it in one kind, and the sacrament is valid.
You can still come forward for a blessing simply by crossing your arms in front of your chest as an indication that this is what you desire.
There is nothing to keep you from being baptized, unless you have already been baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We baptize people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and identities in The Episcopal Church.
If this is what you desire for your self or your child please contact the priest for more information about the process.
If you are interested in the sacrament of marriage please contact the priest to discuss requirements and potential dates.
